Welcome to our in-depth course on the Kalam Cosmological Argument! In this course Dr. Craig walks through a multi-step defense for each premise of the argument, explains in detail what the cause of the universe must be like, and responds to objections.
We expect that this course will take 10-12 hours to complete, and we recommend that beginners take the Apologetics 101 course before starting here, although that is not required. Good luck!
LEARNING OBJECTIVES
Upon the completion of this course, you will be equipped to:
- defend the idea that everything that begins to exist has a cause
- respond to proponents of the view that something can come from nothing
- defend the idea that the universe began to exist on both philosophical and scientific grounds
- explain why the cause of the universe must have many of the properties that are traditionally ascribed to God
- respond to the most common objections to the argument
